What is Microneedling?

As we get older, our skin experiences distress related to sun damage, common aging, acne, weight gain or loss, and sometimes injury. These circumstances may lead to scars, keloids, or lesions on the skin that can have detrimental effects on our appearance. Microneedling treatments thicken the skin, returning it back to a more youthful, clear and even state by remodeling the dermis, thus improving the skin’s texture. How does Microneedling work?

Microneedling works by using small needles (between 0.5 and 3.5 mm) to penetrate the skin and create controlled wounds. The skin responds by repairing the wounds with collagen and elastin, which are natural proteins that effectively strengthen the skin and reduce the appearance of scarring.

What does Microneedling treat?

How long is Recovery from Microneedling?

You’ll likely have some redness and irritation directly after your MTS SkinPen appointment, but this should subside after 1 to 3 days. There is usually just a few hours of redness that may occur after a Vivace RF treatment. Most feel their skin looks back to normal the day after treatment. Results for microneedling won’t be visible right away, but one begins to notice an improvement in the skin as time progresses. Since the generation of elastin and collagen takes time, most will typically see the full results after about 3 months. Most people will need a series of treatments to see the best results, depending on the targeted area.

What is Vivace RF?

The Vivace® Microneedle RF device is the newest generation of radiofrequency microneedling and is FDA-cleared for your safety. This minimally-invasive treatment stimulates the natural production of collagen and is shown to be effective in alleviating facial wrinkles and fine lines.
